  6. wipe off dust and wash the hood again..leave tape on

  9. roll on hurculiner,even 2 coats
  10. wait 3 minutes and remove tape and let dry for 9 hours

pics are up...sorry bout the quality...all i have is my cell phone and its dark out...

i dont think the bed liner keeps the glare off the hood as good as flat black paint...but bed liner hides everything and its more durable...i like it alot and i'm going to do my roof next.....

the area above the windscreen has some rust spots under the paint......this would be perfect...

I did my entire floor in my 4runner., came out great, but I would have thought it would be too ruff for a hood.

Love it man. I am thinking of doing the same thing but I want to go with a yellow and do my sides from the trim line down as well. Sort of a reverse sahara or kalahari edition job. Good news is in the mean time my hood paint is so faded I don't have to worry about glare lol.

I like it! I wonder if you could add a dulling agent to the Hurculiner so it would come out matte. All the bed liners I have seen have been dull. Maybe it it is available from an automotive paint shop.

Does it dry more like hard plastic or rubber? I have wanted to spray bed liner on my wheel well arches for a while. I saw a post linked on this forum from a guy with a dark green D1 who did his wheel wells and lower doors. It looks really cool.

It will dull over time with just a little wear. Mine was shiny everywhere except where sunhit it or my feet or a mat came in contact with it.

I would do it to my disco if the carpet was in worse condition. Im considering doing it to the cargo area..

Id say its more of a rubber..

Watch out for one thing.. Hurculiner has inconsistancys, sometimes is ruff and sometimes its smoother [his photos]. This is from can to can..

One way to fix this is filter out the rubber graduals [duraback smooth] or add a little back in depending on your prefrence. You can also buy them separate incase you want more..

For a free sample on colors, go to the duraback website. Its the same as hurculiner but they have a duraback and duraback smooth. Comes in MANY different colors.

As for doing the lower doors. Id say go for it.. Id go with the hurculiner 1000x before I go with a rattle can bed liner..

I did the rattle can bed liner on my 4runner and it looks great, BUT..

Rolling on is SO MUCH EASIER.. ANYBODY CAN DO IT.
AND
Those spray cans are the most inconsistant things with bed liner..

I did pretty well with it after I got the hang of it but will never use it again..

One moment you will get absolutely NO, paint and then the next second it dumps half the can without warning..

DURABACK [HURC] OR DURABACK SMOOTH IS THE WAY TO GO.
