Default I just SCORED!

A guy local to me posted this truck up two days ago. Snatched it up!

Its a 2000 D2

I bought it for basically the aftermarket goodies:

ARB bumper
T-max 9000lbs winch
Aftermarket rims and mudders
Old man EMU 2" lift with rear coil spring conversion.
D1 CDL shifter
Safari snorkel.
Rebuilt practically new front driveshaft
Engine had the head gaskets done 20K km ago.

Best part, i got the whole truck with 5 spare 18" rims with good snow tires for less than what the ARB bumper costs.

So anyone want anything? I gotta chop it up ASAP as the two non-driveable trucks are taking up all the room. Everything but the snorkel, bumper, rims and springs is up for sale.

Nothing! its got a check engine light and under the new emissions rules you gotta fix it or you dont get your renewal sticker. Says it needs a MAF.

Its also tired, brake booster or something is leaking because the brake pedal falls to the floor in about 5 seconds. Scratches all over the truck, it was obviously offroaded. Exhaust leaks.
Guy was honest about it, said he has another SUV to haul dogs around (he owns a Dog Hotel and training school) and he just doesnt have the time for it anymore.

Frame has surface rust all over it, the body has a few spots of rust that are starting to show. Kinda the normal condition for a disco 2 up here in the north.

I was honest and said i dont plan on restoring the truck but i want it for parts, if he has a problem with that he should let me know. Said he doesnt care.

He was also selling a frame up restoration project Series III for $1K. It was already spoken for when i got there.

What's up with the front shock in the last photo? It looks like there's a custom horizontally mounted shock??? Or is that part of ACE? I've never seen an ACE setup in person.

Yup that's ACE. There's one of those on every wheel.

Negative. One hydraulic piston per axle. The front one can both push down and pull up on the swaybar depending on which way the cars turning. It preloads the swaybar and helps with the body roll. There is one of those suckers on the front sway bar on the right and the rear sway bar on the right.

The pumps been bypassed, dont know how much i would trust the ACE on this truck.

If someone wants the CDL shifter assy lemme know, same thing with the rear coils, i'm keeping the airbags on mine so if someone wants the coils just to do the airbag conversion, they're for sale.

I'm in Vancouver, how much would you be asking for the engine. My wife says I am starting to hoard these things but I think of them as spares
You can PM if wanted.
