Default I need tires for an 03 Disco

My husband wants to replace the tires on my Disco. I'ts got three different brands on it now. He's looking at Michelin Latitude TARHP (sp?). They're about $255 plus tax, his cost. That seems kind of expensive to me.

What tires do you have on your truck and what do you think of them? I had Goodyears on my last vehicle and was really happy with them, wear-wise, but he's hesitant.

Any thoughts ??

Goodyears... got near 70K on a set, then switched to Michelins and got near 30K. I'm back on Goodyears for obvious reasons.

First we have to know what wheels you have.

I put Toyo Open Country H/T's on mine. The tires themselves were $124 a piece, but after my alignment and everything else, I paid $600 out the door. No complaints so far, they grip the road really well, not a lot of road noise, and overall ride is pretty darn smooth.

ps. Mine are 16", i'm not sure if you have 16's or 18's.

I have Bridgestone Dueler A/T Revo 2's. Over 10,0000 miles now and very happy with them. They are 270/45/16's. They are about $155 each. Great tires and over 15 other Discovery owners reviewed them well on tirerack.com
