The pump only runs in prime mode for 5 seconds then shuts off if the engine doesn't start. Have you taken a test probe to the power wire at the pump, if not don't start spending money on something you may not need.
Have you consodered that it could be the crank sensor that is not allowing the pump to fire up?

Sweet. Any special type of probe or am I just looking to see if powerlights upa test probe.
Also, is there anything special about getting the access panel open, type of bolts, etc.?
Man, that would be so sweet ifthis works out.
Where exactly is the crank sensor? I looked for it already, but didn't have adequate light to look around.

Any test light or a multi-meter set to 12v should do it to see what voltage it's getting.
I'm curious how easy it is to get to the pump myself, it doesn't look like the carpet is that easy to pull up, let us know how it goes.
You can see the crank sensor if you crawl underneath just behind the drivers side wheel and look up at the bell-housing just above the frame rail and exhaust. You should see a wire running into a plastic cover which is covering the sensor itself. It's pull it out andinspect it, shouldn't be too hard. If it's covered inmetal, rusty or bend it's probably bad.
