I am needing to replace the two idler pulleys (and the tensioner pulley as well). I am finding it difficult to find the idler pulleys....Does anyone have any suggestions where I can find them ?

The idler by the Alternator = unit off an H3 Hummer works, Idler Pulley = you can get a nice metal replacement by Gates. Other idler below the A/C compressor = not sure of, as I just order OEM replacements from AB or Lucky8.

 

I just did like BEST did. I ordered from AB. The install was really easy.

 

Atlantic british has all 3 pullies, i had a hard time finding one pulley,

 

- Crankshaft pulley ERR5085, ERR7372, LHG100670, LHG000060
- Tensioner and Pulley assy: Gates #38245, Dayco #89287
- 100mm or 90mm tensioner pulley only: LR #131070,Gates #36102 steel, *not plastic Dayco #89054! (Double seal bearing #6203-2RS, 17mm ID x 75mm OD); torque to 33 Ft/Lbs
- 80mm idler pulley (between AC compressor and steering pump): LR #PQR101150 steel, Gates #36275 (Double seal bearing #6304-2RS or NTN bearing #6304LLU, 20mm x 52mm x 15mm); torque to 37 Ft/Lbs
- 70mm idler pulley (near tensioner): LR #PQR500060 steel, Dayco #89052 steel, Duralast #231052, (Double seal bearing #6203-2RS, 17mm x 40mm x 12mm); NTN & SKF are two good bearing brands; same bearing for alternator; torque to 37 Ft/Lbs

 

Hi, I bought the Dayco 89287 automatic tensioner assembly and the Gates 36301 (H3 steel pulley). So now onto the driver's side and the Gates 36275 ?? Amazon says it will not fit..... Sorry to be so daft. Being North of 49, I only order from AB or Lucky8 if the bill is over a Benjamin. Thanks. Cheers,

Ok, I note the shape/size of the bushing of the pulley results in a 10 mm loss of bolt length. Did you put another bolt 10 mm longer or do with the OEM one from the old unit? (I note there would be about 10mm of bold instead of 20MM thanks.

 

That’s way too much thread loss in my opinion. I think you need a longer bolt.
