Its not the horse power its the tourqe, we have lots of it. These trucks are geared just right. Put the t-case in low and you almost double the ft lbs.
The throttle is set upso that small imputs can be done with the throttle. Touch it with a feather and you get a response. Great for off roading, no in between throttle positions.
Its just me, but I truly believe that these are the best off road trucks that you can buy. But hey, thats just me.
Each to their own.

has anybody tried removing the rotoflex and lengthening the driveshaft? I'm guessing the rotoflex is just there to dampen drive line vibrations.

If you want to get rid of the roto you'll need to get the conversion kit. It's geared towards D1's but it can be performed on D2's as well, though I can't remember if it needs a different drive shaft.
