Guys,

I think my 2001 D2 thinks the key is still in the ignition even after it has been removed. There is a constant chime when ever the driver side door is open and the steering wheel never locks! I've tried silicone spray in the ignition to no avail. Any other ideas?

 

This happened to me. The lock cylinder was slightly inside of the lock body even when the key was out. They should be flush.

I was able to just fidget with it until it snapped back out and it has not happened again.
