Default I'm done, it's over.

The Disco is going to the shop tomorrow. After that, it's going up for sale.

Never have I ever owned a vehicle that I have not been able to fully repair, nor one as unreliable as this one. The worst part of it? Most parts can't be had at a local supplier. And of those that can? Over half of them must be ordered, which leaves me to order them from another supplier myself.

These vehicles were never intended to be daily drivers.

I will never own another Land Rover.

Aw, cry some more. Any fairly experianced mechanic can work on these things. Probably one of the easiest vehicles I've had to tear apart and replace things on.

You're talking to someone who has (re)built almost every component of a vehicle.

I can rebuild an automatic transmission, but I can't properly diagnose a failing Land Rover engine. Hell, I can't even get the fuel pump back into the tank.

There is something seriously wrong with these vehicles.

Sorry to hear about your frustrations. These trucks are very reliable, sounds like you just got a bad one, it happens.
Land Rovers are not for everyone.
Good luck to you.

Good luck on selling it... Not trying to be smart, but have you seen what these things are selling for with fuel prices what they are? It'll make a grown man cry.

Come on guys, most of us have been exactly where he is at one point or another when things go wrong. I know I have !!! But its not only a Land Rover thing, its an any vehicle thing. Nobody likes for things to go wrong on any vehicle. We just want it to be perfect all the time.

But we also nkow that once this supposedly last trip to the shop is done, he'll be in love again and hope that this time really was the last time and hope for the best. That's why its a known fact that Land Rover ownership is a love/hate relationship.

But what is wrong this time jmt???

ha, yes indeed we've all had frustrating projects running these, and other, vehicles.

all the coolest cars are a pain to keep alive... it's part of what makes them cool (rare).

If you want something you can buy parts for at AutoZone, get a Chevy Corsica.
