I'm going to buy Disco

RE: I'm going to buy Disco
They have the same chassis and driveline. The Disco is better because it has fewer problems. EVERYTHING in the RR is electricily controlled and thus prone to failer. I almost bought a RR but then bought my DI instead. Not to mention the RR has the air ride on all four corners.

The DI is easier to work on, more mechanical than electrical.
The DII has better ergonomics.
You are going to get different opinions on this, those with the DII LOVE them and us with a DI LOVE them.
Here is one example-The front wheel bearings on a DI can be replaced, two bearings per side, one inner and one outer. On a DII you have to replace the whole hub assembly. Parts and labor on the DI $100 per side, DII $400 per side.
On the DII the double cardon joint on the front dirveshaft MUST be rebuilt and have greasable u-joints installed, the DI does not have a double cardon joint and comes with greable u-joints on both driveshafts.
The transmission on the DII is electonic giving you better and smoother shifts, the DI has a regular old transmission, you know the kind, the same one that your dad had in his Buick 20 years ago.
A tune-up on a DI takes about a hour, a DII takes all day.
You need to drive both, call your insurance agent and get a quote on each. Are you going to work on it or your mechanic?
The DI has a Cental Locking Differential, the DII does not* (*some do, depends on the year).
It all comes down to personal prefferance.
