Default I'm out of the game.

I know I haven't been around here much. I had lost all desire to do anything with the truck and I was tired of issues and worrying about potential Issues.

After owning a 97 DI
05 LR3
98 range rover
03 DII

I think I have finally had my fix. I had just lost all desire to work on a vehicle, I used to truly over it. No longer care for offroading or building up trucks. I want a car that can get decent gas mileage and I don't have to work on. I can't lie I want a rover sport supercharged but I'm kinda burnt on the brand. Wife wants me to get a HEEP, I want a bmw Audi or merc. Until then I'm back on a motorcycle and a backup 1990 Nissan truck my father still has that was my first vehicle. I swear we have never had to change or replace a thing on that truck.

Anywho, who knows, maybe ill be back.

Damn man, sorry to see you go, but besides the 97...you tortured yourself!

05 LR3 - first year of the LR3, not known to be the most reliable
98 range rover - no such thing as a reliable P38
03 DII - no words need be spoken about this one

Anyways, I feel you about the losing the desire to off-road, and looking into something a little less problem, I'm kind of at that cross-roads myself. Best of luck!

Sold our 1997 D1 which we had from 1997. It was faithful to us and is still to the new owner.

I still have the 2001 D2 which eats tons of gas too.
And runs the AUX fan just to spite me.

I do consider leasing a new car - or getting a jazzy newer Mercedes.

I do like riding up high in the 2001 and some of the quirks.
I hear you about working on trucks.

It makes TOO MUCH of a mess in a clean garage.
I have cardboard down where the rover parks.

Worrying about the car breaking down and planning what to buy and fix it - too much energy expended at times.

My LR3 was by far most reliable. Only one I regret selling was the range rover.. Two reasons, I GOT IT FOR 1200! And after owning it the disco look just lost its appeal. I really like the range rover shape.

Well if its time its time. Good luck with everything.

There are only 2 other SUV's that I'd want other than a Disco II.

A new Nissan Exterra or a classic Nissan Patrol(which can't be had here, ive seen them in Australia they are pretty sick) or an 01 Montero. Both reliable vehicles.

Pricing on a Range Rover is really bad.
2002 year - can be had $5,000 or so.

2003 - $13,000 and up.

Unbelievable.

Nigerians love to put 2003's on Craigslist in their scams for cheap.
