Default To induction clean or not?

What would be an indication that one would need an induction cleaning? I've used nothing but 93 octane (lots of mobile gas) since I bought it at 50,000 miles and the guy I bought it from said he did too. I may dump a can in my gas tank tomorrow and do the induction cleaning before my next oil change as I just put in 5.5 quarts of mobile 1 with a mobile 1 filter and don't want to gunk it up.

To anyone interest and that has a DII this seems like the best thread for induction cleaning with Seafoam that I found as it has a picture of the hose that needs to be removed to pour in the Seafoam:

Doing a induction cleaning wont dirty the oil.
It wont hurt to do it, it might run better and it might not.
Induction cleaning I would do, engine flush I would not.

Time may be your best indicator. How long since you cleaned things-up last? A sticky throttle plate that forces you to jump off the line when you press the gas pedal past idle may be a good indication of crud in the intake. That's my 2 cents anyway.

I do it once a year, run the best gas and use gas additive twice a year. You will gain more low end torque and about 1.5 MPG .

I've never done an induction cleaning never put anything in the gas though I do clean the throttle body. I will put a can of seafoam in the tank and try out the induction cleaning any more gas mileage is a plus especially in the summer.

Seriously, if that truck has never seen an induction cleaning, do it. cant hurt it, and you will notice a BIG difference at idle....

Yeah I will give it a shot. I have to really kick down the accelerator to get the truck to idle down.

what engine do you have? BOSCH or GEMS? I know that on the BOSCH the little nipple underneath the orange or red ring is the vacuum port that u want to use to suck the seafoam in, do it very slowly... suck the entire can in. shut it off after getting that can in there, let it sit for about 20-30 minutes and then fire it up, and take the ol girl out for a good ride.... gonna smoke real good but dont worry about, its actually pretty funny

Think I have a Bosch, but yes I see where to put in the seafoam, the vacuum port with the red ring around it on the end of the throttle body. I'm going to play a joke on my wife (send her out to the store after I put in the seafoam) because she is finally getting comfortable with me working on the truck. Need to keep her on her toes.

Where do you get a little hose from to pour the seafoam in?, do they sell it at autozone?
