Default Induction Cleaning: Seafoam dripping from front of engine

OK I just did the induction cleaning and while I was waiting for the Seafoam to work it was dripping out the front passenger side of my engine. My daughter was was out there with me a pitching a fit so I could not really crawl around under the truck to pinpoint the exact spot. But I also have a slow antifreeze leak and it looks like it is dripping down from the same spot if this makes sense.

Is this a bad sign? I will get under there when my wife comes home to see exactly where the coolant leak is.

You have a blown head gasket and the SeaFoam is leaking through the "hole" in the gasket.

Depends on where the gasket leak is, his is outside, yours may have been inside.

Sweet, can't wait to tell my wife. Now I need to find a shop that will tackle the problem. I don't think this is a DIY job.

It is a DIY job if you have the time, skill and tools.

I certainly have the time. If I had the proper tools and instruction I'm sure I could do it. What is a good source to get an idea of what is involved? I have the shop manual but cannot figure out the Rave CD down loads yet.

Besides a good socket set, screw driver and torque wrench what else is needed? How many hours would a shop take?

hey spike, if i got a quote @ around 1200 bucks thru a dealer to do my head gasket, and another at around 3 grand to do the same job thru an indy LR mech., who says he take 30 hours... and another that is 200 miles away or whatever and is known to be a very very meticulous mechanic and fair priced.... which would you go with? I need some outside but unbiased opinions...

I have been told that it is a 15 hour job and the going rate at a indie shop is $1200-$1500 for parts and labor.
This is for BOTH sides, and you always want to do both sides at the same time, and also check and make sure that the heads are not warped or cracked.
As long as it was not overheated the heads should be good.

Download the RAVE CD at green-oval.com. It will tell you exactly what you need to do...step by step.
