the idle temps is 182-188 which is nice

 

Ive had my inline mod for almost 2 years now in Denver and I usually sit around 194 on most days, mid 180's or less during the winter. The downhills in the mountains though..

 

Thanks redwhitecat .....Extinct. How can I purchase this from you ? I put in a 180 thermostat from Atlantic British. It dropped my running temp from 224 F to 206 in 30-45 mph driving but on the freeway at 65 it goes up to 214 and stays there. I have new water pump, fan does come on i’ve Done all recommendations to make sure air isn’t in the system. Any help is appreciated. Thanks

Yikes wouldn't that be too cold? I imagine you might be causing wear if the oil isn't getting thin enough. Your gas might running too rich as well.

BTW, one of the best things about the kit is you can run and drive the truck without any thermostat in the housing. That allows you to troubleshoot if your issue is the thermostat or something else. Discos will usually run around 140-190 degrees F without any thermostat depending on season and weather. If the weather is cool, no thermostat installed, and you still run hot - your problem is elsewhere.

Saturnine,yours might be stuck open a bit, it should not run that cold with a working thermostat even downhill in the winter.
