In other words, a thermostat does not allow running cooler which is different than not allowing running hotter. You can still run as hot as you want by pulling a trailer, climbing, high ambient, poor radiator flow, poor air flow...
That statement was mostly based on observations that people seem to run around 180deg with the inline mod. However, implying that the thermostat does not play a large part in controlling the operating temperature of the engine is a pretty silly statement.

There's a search box at the top of every page.

mtbguy... if you run with no front driveshaft installed; that is one reason why the 3 amigos show. Do not let that mislead you towards other troubleshooting.

Search doesn’t link me to any way to buy an online kit, I tried that before posting. I PMd Extinct so that should work. Thx

And you knew to send a message to Extinct because...?
Presumably from searching.

How do you figure that the front driveshaft has anything to do with the three amigos?
Besides which, in an '03 he's not going anywhere with no front shaft.

Ive been a member of various automotive online forums, there’s always someone that has to be an smartass and “unwelcome” new members. Thanks for that....

Read it on some manual, perhaps comes from the differential lock switch engaged; and confirmed it as am running rear wheel drive only, for 6 years now with the company of 3 amigos. Have no front driveshaft nor front wheel shafts in place.

There's something like a couple of dozen different scenarios that can cause the three amigos. The best approach to determining the cause would be to pull the codes using an ABS reader.
Maybe it's true that they are caused by the CDL in certain situations; some versions of the SLABS unit don't recognise the CDL, for example, and might trigger the lights as a result. But that wouldn't be the case with a 2003 truck unless it had had a CDL fitted

Forgive my ignorance, I’m brand new to the forum.

Thanks!
