I’ll have to take a pic. red collar was broken off…missing…so the hose would not seal it would freely move in the connector. I’ve made some attempts to remove which has further damaged connector. I thought I’d be able to just pry out. It does spin when some pressure is applied.

You say you have a new fitting, right? Then why not just install the red collar from the new fitting into the body of the old fitting, insert the nylon vac line, and call it a day?

Hi min01 thanks for checking in. no change think I’m going to put it on list for mechanic to look at. I’ve been busy working on suspension, sway bar links and bushings, Tom woods driveshafts painted and just installed back today. should have update next weekend.

Hi All

Just wanted to update and thanks for the replies. The British shop near me was able to remove the old fitting. Don’t feel as bad as they had to chip away at it and had to bend up some of their screw drivers to get it out. Best part my lean code went away !

Just received my new fitting yesterday, hopefully I'll have better luck removing the old one and it clears up my lean codes as well!

Again, unless the core of the fitting is really "buggered", there's no reason to struggle to remove it. Just use the red collar from the new fitting and call it a day.

It's pretty torn up. So going to see what all the fuss is about and probably break something lol

Is there any way of just getting red collar connector only?
