Did you have any issues with the new locking output housing? Same driveshaft (lenght)?. What was the green wire from the old non-locking housing? And did you have any concerns about the HDC (did you disable or just left it as is)? Sorry about the ?'s but I'm thinking about doing this to mine. Thanks!

Everything matches and mates correctly. The green wire you see is the neutral switch. there are two neutral switches. one on the front of the output housing, and one at the top of the main casing. they detect whether or not you are in neutral at the t-case.

On a 03, the neutral interlock switch is at the hi/lo assembly it's self, NOT on the t-case. If the transmission isn't in neutral, the shifter WONT allow you to engage into hi/lo. in my situation right now, those functions are independent from engaging the diff-lock. i can just get under the truck and lock the nipple by hand meaning i don't need the t-case in N to lock it.

Regarding HDC/tc... from the research i have done, the 03's were designed to "ignore" the diff lock input signal at the SLABS ecu which allows me to retain HDC/TC/abs WITH diff lock engaged...

read here for some more info on diff lock affecting HDC/TC/ABS
