Default installing cld linkage and solenoid seems to have locked out low

Install is pretty straight forward I have all the little stuff disconnected ie shifter electronics at main tranny shift under co sole.
Trying to adjust linmkage but the slide is stuck in high on the transfer case and can't seem to move it to low so I assume its a solenoid.
What do I need to do so it freely moves so i can bend linkage arm to work.

Simply unscrew the Hi/Lo selenoid lock. If I remember right its the brass looking plug with the green wire comming from it. That will allow you to slide back and forth from hi/lo selector.

Also dont forget, after you remove the selenoid and have it in low. remove that 6mm set screw on the back right passenger side of the T/C. Pull out the spring and detent ball with a magnet. (you may not have to do this?) But if you cannot get it back into Hi after you can slide it back and forth then thats you next best step.

It worked fine this afternoon. All I did was pull the center apart and disconnect the wire from the main shifter and the solenoid plug to get it unlooped from stock shift linkage and I pushed the internal linkage to high and its been there since.

Don't know if i need to hook stuff up and actually start the truck or put foot on brake and neutral then shift etc.

Bit it does work I've had it in low and was shifting it tonight before I started to swap linkage

OK the shifter wire has to be connected to the main unit and be in neutral with key on.

It now pops into low but a beeping and a gear symbol appears on dash and keeps dining while in low. As soon as I slap it in high it goes away.

Any ideas.

Right, that is the way it works. The yellow gear symbol in the insturment cluster with a X thru the gears indicates the transfer case is in neutral. Also you have probably found out the main shifter has to be in neutral, to shift
