Default ? on installing HID kit to OEM Aux Light Switch

Hey folks,
I am waiting to get a new set of NBB Alpha 225 HID's in and had a question for all of you. So i know how to build a basic wiring harness but dont know how to junction it into the OEM DII switch from Expedition Exchange??? i was looking at the RAVE for the factory installation instructions and noticed that they had a plastic clip going into the back of the switch? Where can i find one of those? Or is it possible to skip that piece and jack straight into the back of the switch? Also Factory has 4 wires going into the switch? I am guessing that i would only have 2? Any imput on configuration would be wildly helpful!

Install beneath the rear fog lamp switch. The panel blank should have a wiring harness end attached to it. Plug that in to your new switch. Now, under the front frame you should find the fog lamp wires - the passenger side will easy to see. Don't know for sure where the driver side is - may be behind the washer reservoir. Plug your new lights into these or splice them in. Then you will need to get a rover shop to activate the lights in the ECU for the switch to work.

I was just going to wire the lights straight to the battery via a relay? Then splice the switch leads (red & black) into the "Blanks harness"/Aux switch harness? Will that work? I want them to work independently of the headlights/fogs... Do i still need to take it to the shop to have the ECU adjusted if i take this route? If i do it my way will the switch still light up as it should?
