Default Instrument Cluster not working when cold

I’m experiencing an intermittent problem where my instrument cluster is completely dead when first started up in the mornings. The only light that comes up is the SRS red light as normal. The green dash lights also still work when turning on headlights but none of the cluster works. I’ve also found out after further digging that the fuel cap release button and rear heated window button don’t work at the same time. After the car warms up for a period of time both buttons and cluster will magically spring to life. I believe it is heat related as now the weather is starting to warm up some days I will come the car and all will work fine whereas on colder rainy days it will take a while for them to kick in.

After some digging around online I’m thinking it’s earth related but when I’ve pulled away the drivers carpet to find the earthing point and all seems to be in order

Wondering if anyone has had a similar problem and can help point me in the right direction

What is the outside and if you know the inside of the cars temp? Could it be a faulty/intermittently working relay? I'm not sure of which relay would go to the cluster but maybe when it's cold in the engine bay the relay/set of relays switches stick shut. The fuse box isn't far away from the exhaust so the relays could warm up from the radiating heat. I'm grasping at straws but it may be useful.

Yeah this was my first thoughts but upon looking into the RAVE manual there doesn't appear to be a relay controlling it. I even pulled all the relays out when the display was working in an attempt to find which one might control it but again couldn't find one.

Did you ever get to the bottom of it?

The members said that it was "cold soldering " . Or it could be frozen moisture on circuit board . So , the good thing is that everything works above 20 degrees fahrenheit . I guess just keep your rig dry .

Yeah definitely isn't anything frozen, it's no where near cold enough here for that. I do think you could be onto something with the dry/cold solder joint, just feeling like I'm shooting in the dark with it at the minute. Last night we had a really bad storm and as a result I spent over half the day without it working, at one point I thought it had completely died.
