Best4x4, whatever you do ensure it will take the cooling system pressures and temperatures inflicted and also the longevity of any particular materials used.

I did some reading on it...most of it is guaranteed to 70 psi and 260 degrees.

I still don't believe that best isn't going to use the LED.

And I know you don't need any more options, but there is this little bugger from GANO FILTERS....PART #: GANO14
> Gano Auto Coolant Filter Company

What I’m getting is identical to the Killer Glass stuff without a logo on it. Also $60.00 vs a lot more from what I could make out from the Killer Glass website.

I think it’s on Ebay also for 60.00 or 75.00 depending on bare pyrex tube or pyrex tube, heat shrink clamps, and LED’s (I went pyrex tube & no clamps or LED’s).

If I don’t trust something = it doesn’t go on any of my vehicles (like anything made by AllMakes4x4......). It’s a Pyrex glass tube which can take the heat and the pressure for a Window in space, so I think 16LB of coolant is gonna work out just fine.

I have to agree with you. I've seen Pyrex drop on the ground and not break, chip. It goes in the oven at much hotter temps then our rovers will ever see.

Borosilicste, I get allot of hits on this too.

I am thinking of looking for one too...
I think they can be found for less though...price seems high.

Amazon Amazon

Found this.

and this...
Amazon Amazon

We could research FUSED QUARTZ...

Yep I’ve got a few pyrex based pots & they go into the oven or on the stove that is much hotter vs our engines. I thought 60.00 was kinda up there, but at the same time I’d rather not skimp on a generic part as critical as my LR’s cooling system is!

It occurs to me that you could get the stick-on strips that change color based on temperature and stick it to the glass tube as a general reference for coolant temp when you're working under the hood....mike

Just thought of this...

if the glass is hot and cold water gets into the engine bay, will it crack??
