Default interior fuse box latch fell off, how is it attached?

One of the metal tabs that holds the interior (by driver's door) fuse box cover latch point, has been missing since I bought it a year ago. I found it yesterday,...laying inside the bottom of the fuse box compartment. I've attached a pic of it,

Wondering if this somehow snaps into place,....or was it originally spot welded to the metal structure surrounding the fuse box area??

Any thoughts on how to re-install it?

looks like there was a screw or rivet in that first slot.
