Default Intermittent Dying/Won't Start. Also P1668

On my way to work this morning, my 04 D2 just died. I rolled it out of traffic and checked the Ultragauge. It had code 1668 which I have found has something to do with the Alarm system?
Tried locking/unlocking, general wire checking, etc. and it miraculously started up just fine.
Later that day, it wouldn't start. It would crank, but not fire up. Then......it did.
Then it wouldn't start again. I pulled the battery cable and put it back on and then it started up again. I've cleared the code a few times but it comes back every time the engine dies/won't start.
It dies while idling but as far as I can tell, not while revved up driving down the road. Then when I finally got it home, it idled for 10 minutes with no problem whatsoever.

Is this code unrelated and I just need a new Crank Position Sensor? What do y'all think?

Well, I'm guessing the 1668 code was somehow incidental but unrelated.

I changed the crankshaft position sensor and everything has been fine since!

I haven't gotten any error codes since.
