My dash instrument lights were not working. I checked all the fuses and rear brake lights, all lights worked. Next I removed the cowling around the gauge cluster, found the connection between the cluster and the dimmer wheel, unplugged and plugged the connection, presto! backlights now work. Slapped a little bit of dielectric grease and now Im ready to go.
