Default Ipod Connection

Sorry to post this here but it appears no one really checks the audio portion of the forum. But...

How does everyone hook up their iPod to their stock DII radios?

-thanks

Tape adapter. Cheap, easy, works fine. I think there's a harder way to do it involving wiring right into the radio. There was a post a month ago or so....

I used a Belkin cup holder mount for my iPod. It has a long screw that attaches to the base in the cup holder. I took the cover off the change holder, drilled a hole, and screwed the mount into that. The top of the iPod was just under the clock. Of course after having my driver's window smashed a little over a week ago, I'm not leaving anything out like that (GPS and iPod were stolen).

How are the connections made using the AB expansion kit? I just took the CD changer out of my truck yesterday because it was making a clicking sound that never stopped.

far as I can see, it uses the changer connector. Call them and see.

While talking to Brian at AB, I noticed the link that goes over the installation process. If you always want the iPod mounted you'll need to get a power adapter since this unit doen't charge the battery. At least going this route you won't have to hear the noisy tape player.

I use an FM transmitter/battery charger combo unit that plugs in to the cigar lighter, then mount in on a bracket that attaches to the a/c vent.

I tried one of those FM transmitters, but here in S.F. there are too many radio stations to ever get a clear signal with it.
