Default Issue with rear ladder

Hey again everyone,

I installed a Britpart rear access ladder on my 04 Discovery and I've noticed that whenever it rains heavily, water will seep in through the rear door around where the ladder is installed. Also, my wife took the Discovery through an automatic car wash and a lot of water came through at the rear door. I followed the directions for installation and everything seems installed correctly. Does anyone have any experience with this issue? Thanks everyone in advance.

Go to the dollar store and buy sidewalk chalk, open door, color the part of the ladder that goes over the door.
Close the door, now open the door, check the rubber seal for chalk.
I am betting the ladder is squishing the door seal and causing it to leak.
I have a Rover Racks ladder, no leaks.

That's what I was thinking was happening.
Any ideas on how to fix it?

Adjust the door.
