Local Rover dealer is a block away from my house, and I use them for service. Took it in Monday for an oil change and to replace a leaking heater hose. Pat, the service manager, called me this evening to let me know that they discovered another problem - when they sealed the engine last year, which involved removing the block, they evidently crimped the heater core lines coming through the firewall. Some enterprising mechanic had tried to straighten the lines out but they found it when replacing the hose today. The dealership is replacing the heater core, the hoses, and doing the oil change at no charge. They even offered to provide me with a loaner vehicle.

Say what you will about "stealerships," but these guys back their work, no questions asked.

Wow I would kill for that kind of service. Around here they would just tell ya that it was already like that and proceed to rape you for the whole nine yards.

Thumbs up

Isn't it refreshing to know that a place like that still exists ! If I were you when it's all said and done I'd take them boys a token of your appreciation, a 6-pack or a box of donuts anything to let them know you're pleased. They'll remember that the next time you come in.
