Default JUMP SEATS

Has anyone put jump seats in a Discovery that did not come with them. I havepurchased jump seats that match my interior but they came without brackets. I found some info about brackets on Rovers North but is that all I need. Are there any other mods besides cutting out where the brackets come through the trim panel?

Have you done a search on here yet? This is a common question.

I did a search but did not see any detailed answers. I have a D1 which seems easier to do this on.

The floor board in your truck will not let you do a proper install, most people find out that the anchor points aren't there and pass on any attempt to install the seats.

You can do it. You don't have anchor points on the floor.

Do you have rear air? you have to get the brackets for your specific truck. If you don't have it, you have to get the brackets for one that doesn't. Anothet thing is that you will have to get the plastic trim that goes around the back, unless you plan on trying to cut it yourself.

Best advice I can give is to find someone parting out a 7 seater and get the rest of the parts that way. Check E-bay and Craigslist...

No anchor points, no strong place for seat belts and perfectly illegal.

No,,,No,,,not Disco II ,,Disco I they have no floor mounts just
on the side and thats where the seat belts mount also.

You will need a lot of inside panels and the hardware to mount the
seats,,, from I have read that the Disco I's have the mounting points
for the hardware,,,I would check that first to see if it is true.
I have the rear seats so don't know if the mounting points are there
on all models of Disco I's

I have seen the metal on a 96 with no seats. You can bolt the brackets right on. The seat belts are tied into the mounts. It will work, but you have to get the right brackets.

There you are it will work with the right parts,,, mounting points are there,,
Mine has rear AC so the panels will be different than a non-ac rear setup.
