Just asking Why?

Just asking Why?
I own a Disco 300TDI.
Whenever I log on and look at the Vehicle line-up I see this:
Freelander 1042 posts
Discovery54,483 posts
Range rover 5,729 posts
Defender 703 posts
LR2 469 posts
LR32754 posts
others 74 posts
I just cant help ask myself, why the Discovery Forum has more posts by almost 50,000 than the 2nd runner-up (Range Rover)? Is it because the discos are more popular? more affordable? more disco owners in this forum? or has more issues? (please let it not be the last one
Just curious folks...Thanks

RE: Just asking Why?
More Disco's on the road than the others, the Range Rover and Discovery are the same truck so most issues with one will be with the other too.
There are more modifications and accessories for the Discovery than the RR.
The LR3 is to new and the Freelander is like a RAVE 4, not much to get enthused about. Not a serious offroader, more of aSUV for driving back and forth to work. Larger than a sedan but better MPG than a full size SUV.

Disco owers are usually the enthusiasts, you rarely see an off road setup Range Rover, or LR3 for that matter. Its always the discos you see driving down the road with lifts, racks, and huge tires, and not to metion, a bunch of Land Rover stickers all over the place. You can tell who is into their truck and who isnt. I've also found that Disco people are MUCH nicer and more outgoing!

RE: Just asking Why?
Where I come from there not much Disco's around especially the D1 and D2's. I see a few D3' also. So it's like a bit of eye candy for those car enthusiasts, which is kinda cool. New Japanese made SUV's really turn heads but only for a few months because soon you will see them everywhere you turn your head . The downside is, the LR parts are quite expensive because there are just a handful of LR resellers Majority of the off-roaders use Defenders, which is mighty fine looking truck too!
Cheers.

RE: Just asking Why?
Just an observation,
Speaking of things rolling down the road with the "look" and owners that don't know the difference between a left and right hand monkey wrench or how often the air in the tires needs to be rotated,
Is it just me or is it illegal in all 50 (or is it 57) states to get a hummer (any size) dirty?
