Crank shaft position sensor is a common failure it will keep the truck from starting.

Dude go on the admins page and download the "rave" i suggest you spend some quality time with it.
If you plan to work on this truck you need to edgumakate yourself about it and know how it is built. Head gaskets are not rocket science but that is not something the normal person should just jump in to. You can screw things up worse or leave a wrench in the valley "SORRY HAD TO SAY IT" or not clean everything up right. Take your heads to the wrong machine shop to be milled. Not know how to tell if the block is warped, say it is and you rebuild the top half and then your problem is still there. BIG BUMMER. Don't. Take this the wrong way but your posts make you sound very un-knowledgeable about this big job.

i have never really used forumns i looked and did some research but no help. the issue im having is there is oil in the block, now the truck does not smoke or nothing!! just purrs when it runs.. it wont overheat either unless it gets low on coolant. did a compression test and i got 130psi in all 8 cylinders. normally with a headgasket it should have some sort of hesitation in the motor but nothing it runs as if it was new, no lights or nothing. anyone ever encounter this such an irritating issue?
