just did plugs and wires
OK so my poor college student *** finally saved up a bit of money for new plugs and wires (8mm magnecor and bosch +4 of course), and just threw 'em in. Just because I'm paranoid I want to make sure before I fire it up that I won't screw anything up, how do you know if the wires are properly situated? Is it ok that I can still wiggle them around a little or should it be completely tight?
Also, the Disco is ready for Christmas

you pray to the rover gods and twist the key.
nice! reminded me to wreath up my rig
There is no chance I can **** anything up? Like say if only 3 wires are situated and the rest aren't will that destroy anything? God I'm so paranoid
If you cross a wire or two, the engine will run like an old Model T.
Yes if you were to drive it that way, you can damage the cats.
Did you do one wire at a time when doing the tune up?

Mike, yes I did them one at a time pulling off the old ones. Runs like a champ now
I was talking to my dad after (who owned the truck not 5k miles ago, he bought it at 66k, now at 124k) and get this-He never did a tune up on the truck. The previous owner never did either. I just pulled plugs and wires that had 124k miles on them. The old plugs were completely black. Can't wait to see my fuel economy after this! lol
I can't wait till I have all the fluids in this thing replaced. What coolant is supposed to be used on a DI? My dad put green pepboys brand coolant in it and I thought I remember that you're not supposed to use green, but I'm not sure.

Green or yellow is OK for D1's.
Consider flushing the engine out on the next oil chabge and then do an induction cleaning, it will make a nice difference in performance.
