I unbolted a fuel rail bolt to remove the injectors to clean them, fumbled the bolt, and it went into an opening in the head to God-Knows-Where.
Anybody besides me ever done this? The pan has fresh oil in it of course.

 

I just fished it out with a magnet! Now I am covering the heads with a plastic bag. I should buy a lottery ticket....

 

There shouldn't be any holes in thead for a bolt to pass through...? Can you circle where it went?

Same thing happened to me years ago. A nut jumped and not found anywhere. Very frustrating scary moments. Held a magnet at the end of a stiff copper wire and was able to fish it out from deep inside intake #8 port after probing many places.

 

Going to O'reillys to get a injector pigtail and sea foam so I can use my new electric tester to pulse clean the injectors. Maybe get a lottery ticket too. After the injectors are clean I can start putting it all back together.
