Default Just finished installing my OME shocks and springs

And all 4 brakes. I highly recommend anyone with a poor old saggy disco to install new shocks and springs it really makes a difference. Of course my front springs were broken into multiple pieces.

Next up take the truck to the dealer and get my ABS codes read. I found my rear brakes were caked in sludged up axel grease from an old gear oil leak that seems to have stopped a while ago. I'm going to put some white shepards in there and keep an eye out and if it leaks I will change the o'rings (rear axel.) I am hoping that was the cause of my amigos.

What's the point of the thread if there's no pics? Just kidding. Congrats man. You'll really enjoy the new suspension.

Don't put the White Shepherd in until you change the oil first.

Never fear pics are coming, it's still raining here. It looks like the leak stopped itself a while ago because I have not lost any gear oil in a long time. I may just install the o'rings anyways but I will put the shepards in in the meantime.

Mike I changed the gear oil a couple weeks ago. I went with a heavy oil (85-145) so hopefully that helps too.

Good catch Mike... Pour in the white shepherd first, then gear oil or just make sure you allow room for the White shepherd...

thats how i would do it during a fluid change.

Since the gear oil is new I'm going to pump out out half a quart and then add back with 1/4 bottle of shepards.

Thats exactly why I dropped some hard earned $$ on the complete OME HD kit and stabilizer. At 105K the truck feels new with the parts replaced. Congrats on the new parts. Now lets see some pics ;_)
