Default Just purchased this super clean D2

Hey everyone, I have finally picked up my 2004 V8 here in Canada with 120,000-KM. Previous owners have done a lot of work, gaskets, inline therm, steel coolant tank, snorkel, arb bumper winch...Other than that she is pretty stock and very clean. I've already picked up my Ultra Guage, running around 170-185 here in Ontario with a 190 Thermostat. Anyway not sure what I want to do if anything, she's my daily i also have a Audi Allroad. Running 18 K02s, really wanted a beefier tire with more side wall so thinking 16 inch winters. Anyway just wanted to introduce myself and my rig.

hahah the Allroad has been flawless, 140KM 2017 its a nice cruiser for sure. But I'm no stranger to risky purchases lol....i had a 1977 BJ40 while living in Costa Rica for a few years. Thing was a beast and pretty much everything was fixable with duct tape lol...I have a feeling the D2 will be a bit of a challenge...but fingers crossed not too bad. Its pretty much mint and i just had LR tech go over it and correct every issue before i picked it up....that being said the stupid waterfall noise is there once in a while even after being bled etc...apparently its been an issue with this rig for years...i dont care as long as temps are steady...just replaced valve cover gasket, belts, and a few other bits....

A Chawton White roof on this would just be Disco perfection.

congratulations (or condolences) and welcome to the club.

i have an '04 in the same color and love it. it's my daily, as well. 2" lift and 32" tires. steel bumpers front and back. i had a Crower Stage 2 cam dropped in a few years back and that helps keep pace with traffic on the Ozark hills around here.

Wow great find! If you can, ask the prior owner if they've 1) sealed the sunroofs, 2) if they've rust treated the frame. Those are big ticket items that are easy to miss, and you'll want to do them.

Love the snorkle, I'd like to add that to my D1, just have to find the time and funds to do it. And it would be nice if the weather would co-operate too.

Nice, just ordered a 2 inch lift MD from TF... I needed to replace both front coil and shocks so i decided now was the time to do a lift if any.
Hoping to just run my current tires 255/55/18 without it looking too small...
