Default just when you thought she was up to par.

I swear I fix something on this truck then something else goes wrong. My last fix was an evap leak...new gas cap easy enough, thanks for the help guys. So my truck today started sputtering on take off, but not all the time only when I come in and out of gear, example: park to drive, or rev to drive.... and it only occurs if it give it gas, not like ease on the gas like my wife, lol.

A little background on my truck, its an 01 no amigos...knock on wood, never done the head gaskets, had a coolant leak but I filled it to the lid and has stayed full since, plugs and wires are 2 years old so that could be a place to start, no check engine light, runs great other than the sputter.

Does anyone have any good advice as to what could be the cause or had the same problem. I would appreciate any response as to what's going on with it.

Thanks all

One day this truck is gonna be brand new again, lol.

No check engine light? Does it sound like it's misfiring? Sounds like a coil pack issue but that would misfire throw codes.

Where can I get a dianostic on it? Would just a regular code scanner work? I had it code scanned 2 weeks ago at advanced...they may not like me after this mornings dexcool argument and maybe that's karma, but on their scanner the only code I threw was the evap leak

I will check all my wires tomorrow to see if they are firing. If so then maybe get some new plugs. If its not any of those and it is my coil pack then that's karma for selling my donor truck.

Mass Air Flow sensor should only be cleaned with made for MAF spray, when engine is cold, and ignition key has not been turned on (when sensor is powered up, it heats a spot to very hot, and cold spray can cause a problem). Throttle bodu butterfly valve can be cleaned with carb cleaner.
