Default K&N Filter

I bought one, put that sucker in there yesterday. And all I can say is wow.. The car is so much more "preppy". I reccomend this to you guys, I know I am enjoying the difference.

sa-weet, i am thinking of one for my GT. I'm just too cheap and those motorcraft paper filters are so much cheaper. (even though K&N has lifetime warranty)

Think it'll make any difference in a Range Rover? I'm all for any increase in power I can get.

I put one in my '05 Range Rover, and it made no difference. Over 3 tanks of gas, I saw a 0.1 mpg increase and no noticable difference in power. I put the original filter back in just to avoid any problems with the Mass Airflow Sensor so many BMW 4.4L engine owners have experienced. Not worth it, IMO.

Agreed. I wasn't really looking for "peppy" when I looked for a rover. If I were running a sport or muscle car I would go that route. Just be careful not to put too much oil on the filter. The oil gets sucked in and can mess up the MAF like Teamyonex was talking about. I run the standard air filter. Keep in mind that more air = more gas. Also you're more likely to put the pedal down a little more. So be ready for worse gas mileage.
