Default The Key Fob debacle continues...

I believe I have a bad RF Receiver, I know it is above the headliner.

my 2000 Disco SD does not have a sun roof; do I need to remove the entire headliner to access the RF Receiver?

anyone have a link to the part?

Hey Doc!

I found this on eBay but couldn't find it at any of the usual outlets, like Rovers North, AB, etc.

I know it sounds like a total beast removing the headliner, but it usually takes only about an hour at most. It's pretty straightforward, just voluminous with all the clips and trim bits.

Actually, looks like you can just remove the D-pillar trim and sort of bend it down to access it. It's located behind the passenger-side rear seat net/basket thing. Take a look...

433mhz for GB market; NA market is 315mhz.

What leads you to this conclusion?

the keys which I now have 2, are not detected by NanoCom after being synced. The NanoCom cannot perform an RF test; it receives no signal from the remotes.

there is a known issue with the RF Receivers being damaged from water condensation from the headliner leaks.

both keys are OEM and 315mhz chips.

its either the receiver or the BCU at this point...and I am going with the receiver first....

I would go with the only thing that changed... Which would be the fobs.

how do you know the FOBs changed?

I’ve mentioned nothing about the fobs, other than I have 2 OEM fobs that are both 315mhz; they sync, have fresh batteries.

I was assuming you weren't using the original FOB's that came with the truck, or you would not be syncing them... Is that incorrect?
