Hello everyone. I have been on the Range Rover forum for a while, but recently bought an 03 Disco. I love the vehicle but the keyless entry has never worked. Is there some type of trick to get it to work? The remote has new batteries and lights up when I push the buttons, but nothing happens on the vehicle. Does anyone have any thoughts on this? May not be programed to work with your truck, does the key work?
If so, then it is off to a dealer or better yet a good Rover shop and see if they can program it.

 

Thanks for the reply Disco Mike. The key works fine. The remote does not. My next question probably is more complicated. I have a 2003 parts Disco that has a working keyless entry system. Any idea which parts I would have to swap between the two to get that Disco's remote to open my Disco? Thanks again.

 

Well, first you need to determine if it is the FOB or the computer causing this problem.
As for swapping parts, the other remote will not work unless you have the bar code for it so a dealer can program it to your truck.
