Default Keyless FOB

So i've dropped my fob one too many times, and it no longer works. I know it's not the battery. I see they sell them on ebay, but is are they year specific? and once i get it in, how do i program them to work on my car? Thanks

Yea, I bought the identical fcc# fob off ebay to only find out the dealer has to program both my fobs at the same time.
(can't do one now and another next week. both in one session)

We can't match a new two button to our trucks - we can only re-activate our originals after batt replacement.
(the older one buttons can be reprogrammed to the pre-96 by owner)

I pulled my original apart, pulled the board out (carefully,) and found a resistor loose on back.
I took my little soldering iron and resoldered it, works great, now

luck,greg

yeah, what he said.

You can then get a new case and buttons for your remote..

Also, if you find the correct FOB on line, make sure it comes with a factory access number so the dealer can program it or you will have just blown some money.
