Kodos to Treadwright
For any of you that don't know about treadwright or a scared of a re-tread...dont be and stop wasting your money on name brand tires!
I ordered 285/75/16 Backbone M/T tires about 6 months ago and i have been very pleased. They are great on and off the road. The backbone pattern has very deep and wide lugs but surprisingly they are mild mannered on the road, slight hum but not as bad as you would think.
Anyway, this past weekend I was driving along and noticed a slight vibration, stopped and discovered a slight bubble in the tread pattern. Sent some photos into to treadwright and a replacement will be shipped out on Monday no questions asked....cant beat that service.
Tires are used primarily for off-roading and probably have 1000 miles of off-road use and another 1000 of highway use.
Great customer service is harder and harder to find these days...good to know you can shop with confidence at treadwright.

Dealing with TreadWright definitely exceeded my expectations. I've been running their Guard Dogs for a couple of months now and love them. Top-notch customer service and a great product at any price...can't really beat it.
So, I guess I have never heard of using retreads on a car. Sounds interesting. So how much savings is there? Definately would like to hear more about this because I have always thought tires are crazy expensive and it seems like I am always having to buy them.
I was pretty hesitant at first at the idea of the retreads. Honestly, I couldn't be happier. Initially, I was just thinking of getting something cheap to throw on my stock suspension setup until I could get my lift. I ordered a set of 245/75/16 Guard Dogs for $104 a tire. Since then, I've given them a workout on a couple of trails and put them on the highway for a 1500 mile road trip and couldn't be happier. They also have awesome customer service. I was more than impressed. I'll be sticking with TreadWrights for quite a while.
