Question Land Rover almost Dies when rear wheels hit bump

So after deciding I want to keep my dang 99 disco II, I'm having to do an engine change and a couple of other minor things.

Major issues that arose last time I was home on leave, the electrical system seems to be affected when the rear wheels hit a big bump. I can drive down my road, hit a dip and the Rover can die if I don't take it fast enough.

Replaced the Alternator, Battery and the engine is coming soon (due to a cylinder sleeve).

What could cause this? Any suggestions?

Possible that you have a failing inertia switch

It's easy enough to just jump out the inertia switch with alligator clips and go for a ride. See if this corrects your issue.

We think it might be that we couldn't find the ground to the chassis. Put one in and can't reproduce the dying rover. Tomorrow I want check out the inertial switch though.

Thanks everyone for the input!
