Default Lathe project ideas?

For a summer course I’m taking I need to come up with a CNC lathe project. Everyone does “bullets”, boring candlesticks, and chess pieces. I thought it would be fun to do something fun/functional for the Disco. Any ideas for something small-ish that could be machined out of aluminum? Maybe some part that always breaks because it’s made of plastic or maybe some sort of specialty tool even?

Currently my top ideas are the oil filler neck and some sort of **** for a future CDL mechanism.

Door lock pins are obvious solutions. SAI block off fittings could be interesting. BWM wheel adapters?

Here's an idea, it would be cool to figure out how to make a coolant bleed screw that has a shut off valve and a nipple to put a 1/4" hose on top to properly burp the coolant without splashing it everywhere. Just a thought. could be easy enough to turn up.

Something similar to this but threaded properly and smaller as to not hit the hood.

Do you mean the pins that are in the check strap that give a loud crack when I open my door- because that's a good idea but perhaps too simple for what the prof might be looking for (but I will keep it in the back pocket because I'm sure I'll be making more stuff).

This is intriguing, I don't need to maintain my coolant system as much as I used to (thank god) but I'm sure ill be back in there soon enough and something like this could be handy.

Can you do brass? AN-adapter for the oil/trans coolers would be cool.

Yeah, I can do brass. I looked those up and that geometry is totally doable. Forgive my ignorance but what would that adapter be used for in regards to an oil/trans cooler?
