Default Leaking exhaust I think.

So I've had this putt putt putt sound for a few weeks now only when hitting the gas if the ac was on or radio you couldn't hear it. Now after our 2k mile round trip it sounds like rat rod in park or 80 down the high way.

At first it sounded like a lifter But went away with a rev. And I found Where the drivers side pipe runs into the cat where it bolts together a missing a nut.

The question I have any other ideas on other places to look. I plan to buy a infer-red gun to look and then sea foam - can ya Tell I'm been reading Great forum BTW.

Anyways any help would be Great and would the nut missing make it around So damn loud?

Manifold to head?
I have had a couple stripped bolts there
If you can hear that well you should be able to feel it with your hand

Have someone hold a rag over the exhaust while you locate the leak, you will hear the back pressure blow out of the leak.

Found the leak. Either the mount to the manifold or manifold has a leak I can feel with my hand. Any danger driving it home about 3 hundred miles?

Else is there a quick get-er-home fix

If the leak is in the manifold (cast iron) no problem. If the leak is in the head (aluminum) that's a different story.

I'd say from my reach It's 3 feet or as far as I can reach down from the drivers side. Can't Tell Which one. Thoughts?

I am not leaking any oil. As if that helps narrow it down
