Default Leaks and a Black Light

Hi All,

I've been chasing a small oil leak for a while and decided to get some dye and a black light.

Thought I would share that gear oil shines bright as day WITHOUT a dye. Found my transfer case leak right away. Pics attached. It picks up grease as well. So if you are chasing a TC or diff leak, get a cheap black light.

With standard flashlight

With black light and NO dye

I was thinking the same thing about how clean it is. I didn't know the Land Rover symbol was stamped on mine due to the greasy dirt all over it. lol
