Default LEDs in Hi-Beam Housing (2004 SE)

Has anyone tried using LEDs in the 2004 Disco II High-Beam housing? If so how does the light perform in the Halogen housing?

I don't want to blind oncoming traffic using LEDs in the Lo-Beam housing, but I live in a rural area and having the extra light would be nice to navigate the dark roadways at night. For reference, these are the lights I purchased:

Yes, I've done it. The light is fantastic. I have yet to have anyone flash at me, so I presume I'm not overdoing anything.

Awesome! Glad to hear. Did you put them in the Lo-Beam or Hi-Beam housing?

I have these: https://auxbeam.com/products/spu00174?sscid=b1k7_13l547
It can be a bit of a task to get them fully inside the headlight housing, but it can be done.

I've had some Auxbeam Q20 1:1 LEDs on both of mine for a while on low and hi beam.
Unfortunately they are very illegal now so took them off and put the p**s colour cheapest halogens back in.

Also has a few of the Auxbeam bulbs go bad, they started blinking, some individual LEDs died etc.

The light was good and with a good pattern so I wouldn't blind others.

It's an instant fail oin the yearly inspection (mot) having LED in a housing not designed originally for LED and a buig enought fine if police stops You and notices it...
