Hi all. Read tons of articles. Some said check ball is tightened. So many different options.

also can’t seem to find any inner guts / kit for sale. Just full new mirrors. Is this correct?

Based on this video, what do you all think is wrong? Need a new mirror? Just the “inner guts”?

Just freely moved left and right and up and down.

The spring that holds the housing in the 'indented' positions appears to be broken. Having replaced a couple I'd say the path of least resistance is a call to Wil Tillery for a good used unit. It is a very easy job.

Agree with the diagnosis. I replaced mine with one from the junkyard. It lasted a few months and is now also floppy. And the passenger also went floppy. Currently they have some screws helping them out.
