Exclamation legit or not? G4 Edition

I have recently bought a G4 Discovery 2 land rover and I am skeptical to know or not if it is a legit G4, i have checked the Vin and it comes back as an S model not a LE, if someone could help me find out it would be very much appreciated, this is the only picture i have of it, if there's anything you need to help, please ask

Does it have a Land Rover Special Vehicles plate under the bonnet?

nope, not it. Doesn't look quite like the right shade of orange to me in that pic either. Close but not quite. Also looks like paint difference btween the front and rear door (or just reflection) suggestion potential poor respray

I think it looks like a G4 from afar. Need more pics.

I have looked at 2 G4's over the years. Neither had Special Vehicles plate underhood.

I don't think paint color is the tell here. Tangiers can look darker or lighter depending upon condition.

Browse these for paint color https://bringatrailer.com/search/?s=g4+discovery.

None of these have a special vehicles label on any one of those underhood, I just spot checked a few.
See pic 58 in this listing -- https://bringatrailer.com/listing/2004-land-rover-discovery-40/ -- bog standard 2004 sticker.

By contrast, a 2002 Kalahari would have this:

Let's see the interior please. The G4's had an odd interior spec that was only in the G4's.

Specifically pictures of:
-Front seats and rear seats (they should have a lighter colored stitching, weird vinyl fake leather seats, and no piping on the seats, unusual for a D2) -- this listing shows close ups of the seats really well if you go thru pics -- https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...discovery-162/
-Center console lid
-Trim strip on the dash above the glove box - should be some odd silver color usually

I have an 02 Kalahari and no special vehicles plaque under the hood, but it's 100% factory. I knew some techs back in the day that simply used to take the plaques.... Interior trim would help clue us in, as those parts are very unique to a G4 interior. Like the seat fabric, and accents. A G4 or Kalahari = never had any wood!

Looks like a nice machine even if it isn’t real. That is of course assuming the frame isn’t rusted to bits.
