My friend sold me his 2in lift for $125 but its only the springs will i need new shocks for it or are the stock land rover ones good enough? also is this a DIY friendly job?

The job is easy. You should get the shocks though, as yours are shot, but not necessary.

I recommend getting new shocks if you are on the original stock shocks.

Another suggestion when you have to re-install the shock towers... rotate the towers 180-degree so that is easier to get the top bolt for the shock absorber mount back in.

You can change the shocks later on. It's just a little easier to replace front shocks when you are installing a lift since you have to pull the old ones anyways to get the spring out and out.

Besides a few sockets and wrenches, you just need atleast 2 jacks or 1 jack and a good jack stand for the job.

Cool thanks i don't have the money for shocks yet so ill do that later on if its possible to get away with it. can i now run 265/65/18 now without worrying about rubbing?

yep, your fine to run 32's. Make shocks your next purchase or it'll suck to drive.

I wouldn't install larger tires without replacing the shocks... It'll beat you to death with more unsprung weight if your shocks are bad. Plus, it will cause excessive wear to new tires... Save and do it all at once. You'll save time, and ultimately, money...

Okay sounds good i have the springs ill just wait to do everything till later on when i have everything.

Running 32s on a 2in lift will it kill my mpg?

It won't help it that is for sure.

Probably loose 1-2 mpg

oh my 1-2 may not seem like a lot but when you get 13 city and you only drive city 10-11 is a big difference
