lift questions
I'm new to the forum for my 16th b-day i got a 1999 Discovery 2. I am want to lift it and put some new tires and rims. I was wondering if i have to change the shafts if i do a 2 inch ome lift and a 1 inch coil spacer, and also wat is the max size tires i can fit on it with that lift. I would be willing to trim the bumper up, and were can i find rims to fit my truck.
Thanks

Wait a sec.. Do you plan on putting on 1" spacers on just the rear or all 4 corners? I wouldn't put on any spacers. The HD OME lift kit is a great lift by itself.
Also, you may want to search here and landroversonly.com some. There is tons of info on lifts and tires.

If you want a 3" lift go with Rovertym Engineering 3" springs. It will be cheaper to go with the right springs the first time than messing around with shorter springs and spacers. I agree that the OME lift is great by itself, I run the HD lift, but since you obviously want more lift go with RTE.
What are you planning to use the truck for? Have you completed the 60K service list that is stickied at the top of the forum? That needs to be done before you start worrying about lifts and tires. You also need to make sure your front driveshaft has been rebuilt with greaseable u-joints in the double cardan joint right next to the transmission.
