@Best4x4

Does that set up require a adjustable pan hard to rod and castor correction arms?

Do you prefer that set up vs RTE 3” with TF +3 or other shocks or a straight TF3” kit. (the TF +3 shocks are 2-3 weeks out before available) The +2 used in the kits is available. So looking at other options, would also like to spend less overall yet have quality set up.

Possibly a OME spring /TF +2 shock or OME/TF spring with Fox or Bilstein shock if not straight OME/TF.

I know some do not like spacers/perch’s.

Have you had any drawbacks from using them?

@The Deputy Mentioned using medium up front and HD in the rear. Has anyone done this and how was the ride when not being used to carry loads?

Best's solution still results in a 3" lift just with softer springs. An adjustable panhard is a good idea at that point and so are castor corrected arms. Are they absolutely required, I'd say no. But removing the front cross member and extending brake and abs lines are definitely recommended if ever off-roading.

Default spring rates

TerraFirma Springs
TF023V Medium Load Rear Specification: 300-340 lbf/in, free length driver's side 420mm, free length passenger's side 410mm.
TF027V Heavy Load Rear Specification: Spring rate 360 lbf/in, free length driver's side 420mm, free length passenger's side 410mm.
TF042 Medium Load Front Springs Specification: Spring rate 180 lbf/in, driver's side free length 385mm, passenger's side free length 375mm.

OME
do you know the specs for 2871?

2762 Rear Spring rate 300/340 Driver side 420 Passenger side 410
2777 Front Spring rate 180 Driver side 395 passenger side 375 spring rate 180

and for 2779?

So the TF medium is equal to the OME HD if I’m reading that correct?

I left the panhard alone and my steering is fine. Could you use an adjustable one = probably to fine tune it, but from what I've seen over the years a D2 is fine up to 3inches of lift. Anything past that will require an adjustable panhard for sure, and castor correct arms. 3inch is the sweet spot as far as getting the most lift without going crazy. I do highly recommend ditching the front crossbar/member, extending the brake lines, and the rear ABS sensor wires if you plan on truly flexing it. 3 of my D2's are setup this way and zero issues. I normally drive them 6+ hours on the highway at 70-80MPH to reach my off road destinations and handles great.

"I do highly recommend ditching the front crossbar/member..."

@Best4x4 - What is the rationale for this?

Very very simple if you lift your D2 and you DO NOT remove that front crossbar/member you are 100% guaranteed to have your front drive shaft repeatedly slam into it when the front axle articulates off road. It will cause serious damage to your front drive shaft over time and if left alone = bye bye transmission bell housing, transmission body, front Y pipe, big dent in the floor, possible fuel line damage, fuel return line damage, and even possibly damage to your Transfer Case if the front shaft breaks apart. For a mall crawler that never flexes as much as over a small curb you'd probably be okay, but any lifted D2 = should remove that sucker ASAP. Not to mention if the front drive shaft does fail it has a 50/50 chance of dropping clear of the D2 when it fails vs bouncing off the crossbar/member and slamming directly into your transmission.

Can I see a pic of the crossmember removed. Any details you can provide. Assume it has no affect on the frame rigidity ?

Gives me an ache in the stomach cutting pieces off!

no cutting it's the furthest forward cross member, held in by 8 smaller bolts.

I just added the 1 inch spacers to my rig over the weekend while I was swapping out the diffs. This brings it to a total height of 3” of lift. Finally had a chance yesterday to drive it at highway speeds and the truck seemed to float or sway in the lane. On ramps and off ramps it felt relatively unsteady and I had to be much slower in my turns.

I did disconnect a lot of components while installing the front diff but everything is back in and seems tight Anything else I should consider replacing or adjusting?
