Default Light bulb behind the AC (Hot/Cold) setting

Does anybody know the bulb size for the bulb behind the temp control setting on 2004 Disco? This bulb has a green rubber that slides over it.
Ive tried to remove it but ended up breaking it in the process. I dont want to do the same to the other side.
Does the bulb pull out by itself or do you twist the round base off with it?

Thanks

I bought the bulbs from either AB or RN (can't remember) they came with the colored cover and the base. Relatively cheap so I replaced all of them.

The base assembly make a quarter turn and can then be removed. The lamps are usually sold installed in the base with the rubber cap, but you can buy the parts individually.

I don't think $3.50 is cheap, so I got 100 of the lamps by themselves for $18:

100 Pcs 3mm Clear 14V Mini Grain of Wheat Rice Bulbs | eBay

Just pull the rubber cover off, unwrap the lamp leads from the base, insert new lamp, rewrap leads, replace rubber cover. Or you can just paint the lamp green. Works just as well

Not to revive a month old thread but for future reference in a my 2001 discovery I just removed the coin holder/ashtray/cup holder tray and could access clips to pull hvac control unit. The bulbs for bottom control buttons and hot cold buttons are a neo wedge t5 bulb. eBay has some but I went with autolumination and got the regular brightness led version. I bought 3 for 13 shipped that are green in color so hopefully they look alright but they also have brighter versions and a regular bulb version. I didn't want a bulb too bright and look out of place but wanted the longevity of a LED so hence my choice. Hopefully they look ok when I get them installed. Of course as mentioned above you could some rice bulbs and run the leads into the base...that's the cheapest way for sure but I didn't want to mess with that.

Got my green led replacements installed today. Went in pretty easy but did have to cut just a little bit of plastic off the base of bulb for it to slide into place easier. They are a little brighter than reg factory bulbs but not to bad. I do notice the blue side of button seem way brighter than the red but that seems to be true for the factory bulbs as well

.

Wanted to update for future reference. The led green bulbs i ended up replacing. The blue light was to bright and red wasn't lit up at all. I ended up getting just normal green bulbs from autolumination.com and they look much better and fit with no modification.
